Paul has worked in education for over 30 years planning, developing and running countless school excursions, activities and international programs. Paul got into education and risk management because he saw how much of a positive impact these programs had on students. Paul loves to help others build great programs so they too can provide their students with some of the most memorable experiences they will ever have and help them to learn and grow. Paul knows how important the management of risk is to the running of great programs and has served as a risk management consultant for large public and private schools as well as universities. Paul has worked in numerous countries as both a field instructor, guide, program administrator and basecamp director and has been working specifically with a range of education programs in the US and internationally for the last 15 years. David knows how important it is for you to provide great opportunities for your students so they develop and grow in this rapidly changing world. With the increased demands on teachers to run programs on top of running classes and be able to have the time to understands and manage risk, he knows how frustrating risk management can be for teachers. David has developed and run residential outdoor programs for some of the largest private schools in Australia and has trained staff, build effective risk management systems and consulted on operational and risk management practices. David’s work has been strongly influenced by the need to provide great educational opportunities for students to grow personally and academically through experiential education as well as ensure risks are minimised and well managed. Kerrie is a highly experienced Registered Nurse and Clinical Consultant with a diverse career spanning over three decades in healthcare, boarding and outdoor education. Her extensive experience includes roles as nurse in Prince of Wales, Thredbo Medical Centre as well as Deputy Head of Boarding at Wenona School and Head of the Health Clinic at Canberra Grammar School where she played a pivotal role in enhancing the health and well-being of students and staff, particularly within the boarding community. Kerrie’s background in nursing is complemented by her love of outdoor education, having worked as an Outdoor Leader, Discovery Ranger and Guided Bush Walks Leader in Kosciuszko National Park. Kerrie has also been an instrumental part of countless school camps and international tours supporting the planning and operations for student safety. |
